PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Michael Kelly has more than 35 years of successful acquisition, development, adaptive reuse and management of income producing real estate. Mr. Kelly joined Consolidated Capital in 1972 and was responsible for the negotiation, acquisition and disposition, development, leasing and management of more than $2 billion  in commercial and multi-family residential properties. When the company was sold in 1985, Mr. Kelly was CEO of four of their publicly traded REITs with combined capitalization in excess of $1 billion dollars. Subsequently Mr. Kelly was principal of MK Consulting Company providing a full range of real estate services to clients in California and Texas, and a principal with an East Bay based partnership, engaged in private equity real estate investment and development in California. In 2001, Mr. Kelly formed MK Equities Group focused on commercial and residential development in San Francisco.

AFFILIATIONS/ACHIEVEMENTS
Along with his business contacts, Mike has an expanded interest in the renaissance qualities of life. Perhaps that is why he has excelled at the historical and landmark property restoration process. With his music degree from San Francisco State he has taken an active role in making music throughout the Bay Area. He is a tireless member of The Family Club a 107-year old San Francisco thespian and musical institution. He leads The Family’s 17 piece big band, and is the originator and lead of West Coast Cool, a jazz octet and The Brass Express, a band specializing in the music of Blood Sweat and Tears and Chicago. He is a current member of the Sausalito City Council, having served as Mayor in 2007. In Mike’s “spare” time he sponsors an independent record label fostering striving artists in their pursuit of jazz, children’s and classical music. In 1993 his label d’note Records was nominated for a Grammy for his production of Tubby the Tuba with The Manhattan Transfer.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Monica Finnegan has over thirty years of commercial real estate experience. Prior to forming Urban Real Estate Advisors in 2006, Ms Finnegan spent more than 20 years with the world’s largest full service brokerage firm, and served as the Regional Manager for the San Francisco Bay Area operations from 1996-2002.  During her management tenure, she succeeded in growing San Francisco revenues by 450 percent and increasing market share 20-fold.  In 2001, the office  was ranked as the No.1 brokerage firm by the San Francisco Business Times.  In addition to the operations/profit & loss responsibilities, Ms. Finnegan was the Senior Managing Director for the San Francisco Bay Area Corporate Advisory Group. 

As a sales professional, Ms. Finnegan has completed more than 5 million square feet of leases with an aggregate lease/sales value in excess of $900 million.  Several major accounts secured by Ms. Finnegan include AT&T 16 Western States account management, Veritas Software Global account, the long term client relationship management work for Bechtel Corporation, SBC Communications, Blue Shield of California, Baker & McKenzie, O'Melveny & Myers, California Pacific Medical Center, Unico Properties, and Macquarie Bank.  In addition, Ms. Finnegan has handled the pro-bono real estate needs for the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and several other non profit entities.

Prior to joining the brokerage world , Ms. Finnegan spent six years as vice president/project manager for two Bay Area real estate developers, supervising office, shopping center, and commercial condominium projects.  Her responsibilities encompassed site selection, planning and design conceptualization, architectural and consultant selections, government approvals, lender pro forma, construction and take-out financing, and interfacing with brokers in marketing of lease or sale projects.  She was also responsible for the selection and supervision of general contractors during shell and interior build-out and the establishment of ongoing operations and property management.

AFFILIATIONS/ACHIEVEMENTS
Ms. Finnegan is active in the San Francisco community.  She currently serves as a Board Member for the Bay Area YMCA, a $50+ Million non profit operation serving youth and families. She is a past board member for the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Chamber’s Real Estate Industry Group, and served as a board member and Chair for the Yerba Buena Alliance (part of the City’s 82-acre mixed use redevelopment site). She is past-president/board member of SF-CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). She is also involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and other community organizations. She is a member of CORENET, BOMA, Lambda Alpha and is also a candidate for the IFMA Certification Program. From 1996 to 2006, Ms. Finnegan was voted one of the 100 Most Influential Women in San Francisco by the San Francisco Business Times. 

EDUCATION
Ms. Finnegan attended The University of California, Los Angeles, majoring in Political Science. In 2008 Monica completed her MBA at Pepperdine University in their Presidential Key Executive Program. She has a California broker’s license and is a candidate for CORENET’s Masters in Real Estate (a corporate real estate continuing education designation).

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Ben joined MK Equities Group, LLC in 2006, after spending more than 11 years in the areas of finance and real estate asset and property management. Ben’s introduction to the property and real estate industry began in his family’s residential development and property management company, Jon Berkley Management Inc. where the company focused on multifamily housing development and management. After graduating UC Berkley, Ben was engaged by the Bancroft Library in the area of finance. There he managed an annual budget of more than $6 million, consisting of endowment, gift, grant and state funds, which supported the collection, preservation and research activities of the library. Ben’s work with MKEQ has evolved into a strong administrative role not only at the local office, but in large measure to include the administrative and financial stability of the property operations. His skill in financial analysis provides strong support to the company’s investment and management endeavors.

AFFILIATIONS/ACHIEVEMENTS
Ben is an accomplished runner and a vegetarian chef of some repute. Along with his dog on Sunday mornings, he is a frequent “inspector and property manager” of the grounds and trails of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Music and the cultural attributes of the City and Bay Area are some of Ben’s strongest affiliations.

EDUCATION
Ben received the Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.  He is furthering his education through the intensities of the fast moving investment and management business at MK Equities.
